Is the lilac’s share?
More than you think.
More than you think
she’d allow.
Is the lilac’s share?
More than you think.
More than you think
she’d allow.
So essential to the divine
light show
They land to finish the job
of saving one’s soul
I gave it up, of course,
eventually,
dropping back to prove myself
against minutes and hours.
Now you’ll find me
napping in the shadows.
But I’ve hung a flag
on that fastest hand:
It’s good to know what was.
I’ve hardly brought it up.
Though I wonder,
when I hear
the thud and thump,
if the flitting nut falling
isn’t some dodgy gift
heaped atop
an untimely demotion
