This morning the morning more rural
This morning the morning more rural
passed by – cows, grace, grass
and wire –
sun and all that nothing
to do, so I did it (in lieu)
A sky everywhere blue but here
A six-foot cloud has stolen my sun.
Such a cloud shouldn’t last too long,
but miraculously does, being
a string of clouds
lined up with the wind.
Who’d stretch a cloud a mile
to wreck up all my sky?

Hail knocks down the blossoms,
but have you seen those stones in the sun?
Flowers take the purse on points.
The sun’s sweet passage
Banking left
she sprays little clouds
and we ask, as she goes
why we never met
